I first became interested in translation while studying Modern Languages at the University of Oxford. My work in a music library after graduating included a significant amount of translation, both formal, to liaise with libraries overseas, and informal – for example, to advise students on the content of their vocal texts. Since completing my MA in 2009, I have been carrying out freelance translation work for a range of direct and agency clients both in the UK and abroad.

I bring a wealth of experience to my translation work, including English and Music teaching, a year spent working for an NGO in French-speaking West Africa, and extensive foreign travel. I will never undertake a translation project if I feel that I do not have the relevant experience, knowledge or skills to deliver a product of the highest possible standard.
